Gilded Crane is a stationery studio creating custom paper goods for weddings, celebrations, correspondence, announcements, and other meaningful moments. Each commission is approached individually, with the design shaped by the people, place, and details behind it.

A setting, a piece of architecture, a favorite flower, a fabric, a family tradition, or simply a particular color or feeling can become the starting point. From there, we consider typography, paper, printing methods, format, and finishing details to create something that feels specific to the project rather than tied to a single style or trend.

We believe stationery should do more than communicate information. It can set the tone, give a first glimpse of what is to come, and become part of the experience itself.

Our work is grounded in beautiful typography, considered composition, distinctive color, and materials that feel as good in hand as they look on the page. Some commissions call for restraint and simplicity, while others make room for illustration, unusual shapes, ribbon, wax seals, embossing, letterpress, foil, or other finishing details.

Each project is considered as a whole, from the first piece a guest receives to the smaller details that follow. We work with carefully selected papers and trusted production partners, and guide clients through wording, quantities, printing methods, finishes, and the other decisions that come with creating custom stationery.

The process is collaborative, but it does not require you to arrive knowing exactly what you want or how it should be made. That is part of what we are here to help with.

The crane has long been associated with grace, longevity, and good fortune, while also carrying an unmistakable connection to the craft of folded paper. Gilded speaks to the details that can transform a piece, from the glint of foil to the richness of a beautiful paper or a carefully chosen finish.
